Our Ultimate Packing Guide Tip Sheet for Travelling to Europe in Spring
Before we set out the packing list for you, here are some important things to remember. The first item on the guide below refers to Europe in Spring, however the other four tips can be applied to packing for any trip you are taking.
Our Ultimate Packing List for Europe in Spring
Whenever you travel you really only need to pack as though you are going away for a week. Throw in a few extras, as well as the items from our Never Forget List, and you are good to go. Our Never Forget List is made up of medications, a small first aid kit, a small sewing kit, sunscreen, and aloe vera. These items have saved us many, many times!
Depending on the length of your trip you might also get value from having a small wash bag, and some laundry detergent in a leak proof container. Even without access to washing machines you can launder items in the bath, shower or sink.
PRO TIP – Lie laundered items lengthways in a bath towel. Wrap them in a tight roll, and twist both ends in opposite directions. Do this over a tub or basin as a lot of excess water will run out from the clothing. Then hang them to dry on a line, towel rail or coat hangers. They dry much more quickly this way.
The list below is meant to be a guide to what you’ll need. As you will see from the footnotes there are numerous variations and provisos. You have the ultimate choice as to what to take for the trip you have planned. Our Ultimate Packing Lists are our go to after 25 years of travel, and 14 years living abroad.
